Near the eastern wall of the central cavern are a few ice giants. The giants are popular to kill, as they drop big bones as well as mithril and Black items. It can be troublesome to try to attack the giants, as the aggressive, quick ice warriors often will attack first. It can be done, however, by using run, dodging around obstacles in cavern which can hinder the warriors , and hugging the eastern wall where fewer warriors go.
Eventually while training here, the warriors and giants will become non-aggressive and players can attack freely. It is recommended to bring plenty of food with you when training on ice giants or ice warriors. Using prayer can be useful, as there is an altar a bit north-west of the entrance to the dungeon. Fire spells work well against all of them.
The blurite rocks are found at the eastern and southern edges of this cavern. The entrance to the chamber containing the Skeletal Wyverns is in the south of the central ice cavern. This chamber can be entered only by members. It is a very dangerous place, because of the wyverns, and players should be thoroughly prepared against the monsters before entering the chamber.
Inside the skeletal wyvern cavern is a crevice that will lead down to their living counterparts , where the climate is even colder and they are much more dangerous. This is a good place to rest up and wait for the blurite to respawn, or perform a teleport without being interrupted. Reaching the giants may be slightly problematic, however, for the large number of troublesome ice warriors and players who come to train, as the aggressive , quick ice warriors often will attack first.
It can be done, however, by using run , dodging around obstacles in cavern which can hinder the warriors , and hugging the eastern wall where fewer warriors go.
Note: Eventually while training here, the warriors and giants will become non-aggressive generally after 20 minutes and players can attack freely. Once they become tolerant , the warriors and giants can be maged or ranged easily from quite a few safe spots.
Fire spells work well against all of them. It is recommended to bring plenty of food with you when training on these creatures. Using Prayer can be useful, as there is an altar a bit north-west of the trapdoor entrance to the dungeon.
The Blurite rocks are found at the eastern and southern edges of this cavern. To the south of this room is the entrance to another icy cavern where eight level Skeletal Wyverns reside; four on the west and four on the east side.
They are killed for their valuable drops and slayer assignments. It is a very dangerous place because of their frost breath, which can only be blocked by an ancient , elemental , mind , or dragonfire shield.
Players should be thoroughly prepared against the monsters before entering the chamber. They can drop Granite legs , Dragon plateskirts , Dragon platelegs , and the coveted Draconic visage. Note: This area is not recommended for players with a combat level below When you get inside white wolf mountain, there should be many ice warriors.
The Ice warriors are vicious. Try and get them into a line, so you can attack them one by one, and avoid using precious food. Ice Warriors and Ice Giants can also be found in level wilderness.
You can start by banking at Edgeville , and then heading as west as possible, and finally heading north. The entire route up should be a single combat zone. Be sure to avoid the area around the altar as it is multi-combat.
When you get to the Ice Warriors and Ice Giants, it looks like winter. If you are a member it will look similar to the entrance of the God Wars Dungeon. There you will find Ice Warriors, and to the north you will find Ice Giants right against the fence separating the members area from freeplay. Because this area is in the wilderness, you may run into a PKer. If you do, refer to the escape route below. This area provides certain advantages over the other areas.
It is the only area where you can attack a large amount of Ice Giants without being attacked by Ice Warriors. It is also close to a Prayer altar. Some players might want to use Prayer-boosting gear and use Protect From Melee to kill the warriors and giants without food. The nearby altar also allows players to "flash" use a Prayer only when you are about to hit a target or get hit by a target medium level offensive prayers such as Superhuman Strength.
It is always good to have some Prayer available however in case you run into a PKer. Again, the altar is located in a multi-combat zone so proceed at your own risk. The big drawback to this area is of course that it is in the Wilderness. Do not be discouraged by that, however. It is rarely visited by anyone, and most of the visitors are trainers or new players adventuring. Even if a PKer does come by, your white dot will be camouflaged by the snow on the minimap and it will be hard for him or her to attack you because the area is full of monsters who will attack the PKer, not letting the PKer attack you.
